The collar is pleated at center front to create a wide V-neckline. It extends only to the shoulders. The edges at the neck and armholes are finished with narrow chiffon facings and the edges of the dart are overcast with thread to prevent raveling. The points at the shoulder and collar ends lap over the back of the dress. Self-brocade button loops and covered ball buttons are used at center back.
