Garment details

This dress has an ingenious closure. The chiffon overskirt is sewn to the back waist and wraps to the front, in the manner of a separate scarf. The scarf is gathered at its ends and sewn by hand. On the right front, the scarf is stitched to the waist; on the left, it floats freely, in accommodate the placement of the left side seam zipper. Once zipped, the loose scarf panel is secured by a row of snaps. The ends of the scarf are concealed by a vertical drape.
