The front bodice has seams at center front and from the neck edge over the bust to the hem. Worth cuts the side panel on the bias so the sections fit the body more closely without wrinkling; other designers at this time were cutting the sections on the straight grain. The bodice fastens with lacing at center back and has hand-whipped eyelets.
