Description Silver coffee pot with raised inverted pear-shaped body on molded splayed circular foot, hinged, molded, domed cover with pineapple finial, curved spout with shell-like ornament at top and gadrooning at lower juncture, wood handle with silver sockets, and gadrooned under top of handle with scrolled terminus. Inscription: Engraved in cipher: SSC. Later inscription on body: Samuel Cornell / 1756 - to / Susan Mabson. Mark: On center of base, in script: Myers. Scratched on base: 8403.

Dated 1756-1760

Inscription / technical details "SSC" in cipher for Samuel (1731-1781) and Susannah Mabson (1731/32-1778) Cornell of New York and New Bern, North Carolina, who married in 1756.
