Description Silver golf trophy with tapering vase screwed to circular base, red plastic ring inset, vase neck engraved with black enamel foliate swags below bands of red enamel diamonds, circular cover surmounted by a figure of a golfer in plus-fours standing on a ball. Made by Meriden Britannia Company, which later became part of International Silver Company. Inscription: Engraved on body: CLEARVIEW GOLF CLUB /BOARD OF GOVERNORS / 1929 / WON BY / BERT LAHR. Mark: Marked on underside of base, incuse: MERIDEN B. CO. / [device] / INTERNATIONAL S CO. / 1175.
