Cruet Set

Cruet set of fused silver plate, of irregular outline, with pierced base, four interlocking rings above containing a glass mustard pot with hinged silver top, glass caster with pull-off top, mustard spoon, and miniature pepper shaker in tankard form with human figure as thumbpiece. Inscription: Stand monogrammed: JLM. Mark: On underside of stand: M / 9876 / [Elkington & Co. trademark][Gothic E] & [Gothic Co.] K. Shaker: [(?)JB][ maker's mark in rectangle at upper edge] [Birmingham marks for 1901]. Spoon marked on handle reverse: E & Co. [crown in separate shields.]
