Description Teapot with seamed fluted oval body, bright-cut engraved borders on cover and sides, medallion tied with bowknot engraved on body, seamed straight tubular spout, flat hinged cover with wooden finial knob, and wooden C-scroll handle. Inscription: Engraved on one side of body, within reserve: HCR. Engraved on opposite side of body: [stag's head] / CR. Mark: Marked on cover: [maker's (sponsor's) mark] [lion passant]. Marked on underside of body: [maker's (sponsor's) mark] [date letter] [London town mark].
