Description
Silver tankard with engraved roses within mantling (Roosevelt arms) on the front, molded base with link chain applied leaf band above, scroll handle with corkscrew thumbpiece and mask of one of the four winds at tip.The cover is engraved with decorative cypher, cast applied crenate lip with engraved decoration, and five-part hinge with meander wire above and below everted rim with applied molding. Inscription: Engraved with Roosevelt family arms, cypher "NR" and initialed "RV/N*H" for Nicholas Roosevelt and Heyltie Kunst. Mark: "W+K/B" within a heart struck twice on lid, twice on base, and once to left of handle.
