Description
Teapot from tea service with seamed oblong body edged with gadrooning on cast lion-paw feet, lower section of body engraved with foliate cartouches, inset reeded molding at shoulder flanked by engraved bands of dots and scallops, broad convex band engraved with floral garland and diapered reserves above molding continuing to plain, slightly everted lip edge with gadrooning, slightly domed conforming hinged cover with squared blossom finial, squared C-shaped wood handle and S-shaped spout terminating in drake's head. Inscription: Engraved with script initials within reserve: J.C.R. Mark: Struck on base in rectangle: W.B. HEYER.
