Description Lace leaf fan with floral pattern; ivory guards and sixteen sticks perforated behind lace, with scattered silver and gold metallic foil inlays (piqué) of bowknots and roses colored with pigment and additional incised decoration to sticks; mother-of-pearl button with silver-tone metal ring of beaded form. Carried by Helen Fahnestock, daughter of Harris C. Fahnestock, at her marriage to Dr. Clarence Gordon Campbell on April 14, 1896, at the bride's family home, 457 Madison Avenue.
