A: Garnet silk velvet bolero; waist-length; notched collar, pointed lapels; single-breasted; lightly padded shoulders; long sleeves, rolled cuffs; black satin piping throughout; four flat black satin covered button center front closure; black silk faille lining. B: Black wool poplin skirt; below-knee length; straight cut; double dart at hip, rounded silk-covered pad set beneath partial crepe lining into waistband; satin strips applied to side seams; center back kick pleat; swing-tack attached wide black satin cumberbund, shirred at sides; proper left side hook and eye closure.
