Description 53 Bowery, opposite the Bowery Theatre. Established 1846. Pries of admission: parquette, 12 ½ cents; orchestra seats, 25 cents; boxes, 6 ¼ cents; private boxes, 75 cents. The oldest established place of minstrelsy in the world. The proprietor challenges the whole continent to gainsay this assertion. Notice – there will be a grand afternoon performance of New Years’ Day. Gentlemen unaccompanied with ladies, will please observe the front seats are reserved for the accommodation of ladies and children. Just published and for sale at the box office, White’s new song book, containing all the new and popular songs, glees, choruses, conundrums, jokes, stories, etc. Price 1 shilling each, or the whole four numbers for 37 ½ cents. No ladies admitted unless attended by a gentleman. No free list to this establishment. Books containing all the songs, glees, choruses, duets, joke conundrums, etc., of this company can be had at the box office. Price 1 shilling each, or the whole three numbers for 25 cents.
