Description
Tea service consisting of teapot, creamer, sugar bowl with separate cover, and waste bowl. Each piece is pyriformed with circular body on circular, stepped foot with die-rolled shell palmette borders applied at shoulder or lip and juncture of body and foot. The teapot has a hinged, stepped dome cover with cast leaf-and berry finial, leaf forms applied to gooseneck spout, strainer punched in body wall behind spout, and cast S-scroll handle with inserted insulators. Inscription: Engraved on body, in script: Baldwin. Mark: Marked twice on underside: J. H. C. Marked once on underside: New-York.
