One of a pair of open salt vessels with circular body, applied spiral gadrooning at lip, cast cabriole legs with shell knees and hoof feet, and a gilded interior. Inscription: Engraved on body, in script: JMAL. Mark: Marked on underside of base, in script: W. Thomson / 1836.
