Description One of a pair of cake baskets with oblong boat shape, deep curved well and broad flat-angled rim which extends at each end to hollow cylindrical handles. Die-rolled gradrooned border applied at lip and edge of rectangular foot. Engraved floral-and-scroll border inside rim at shoulder, with reserves at each end, and cut-card leaf forms applied over handles and onto rim. Inscription: Engraved within reserves: PCVC. Mark: Marked on underside: [hallmark] H. WISHART [hallmark.]
