Description
Teapot from tea service with melon-reeded oval body on stepped oval pedestal base, die-rolled borders applied at lip, shoulder, and edge of pedestal base, C-scroll hollow handle made in vertical halves with double-furl lower juncture and single-furl upper juncture, ebony insulators inserted into handles, domed cover with cast finial in form of basket of flower, pot cover with concealed hinge, and faceted lower spout. Inscription: Engraved on body, in script: NER. Mark: Struck inside foot on base, in script: J. J. Monell & / C. M. Williams.
