Description
Small teapot from tea service with oblong body and sloping shoulders. Inset border below shoulder engraved with alternating floral paterae, cut-cornered rectangular reserves, and bands of diaperwork, on stepped pedestal base edge with two bands of gadrooning on four ball feet. Square C-shaped handle with curls at lower terminal, ebony insulators inserted into handle and high stepped hinged cover with rectangular band of gadrooning on finial. Inscription: Engraved on body: E [JV or VT?] B. Mark: Struck on base:: W. B. HEYER.
