Description
Tea service that consists of teapot, cream pot, and sugar bowl with separate cover. Each piece has a seamed oval body, curved cushion shoulder, and slightly convex sides on applied oval footing with bands of bright-cut ornament at shoulder and foot, bright-cut oval reserves flanked by engraved cornucopias on both sides of the body. Sugar bowl also has a conforming cover surmounted by boat-shaped urn finial. Inscription: Engraved within bright-cut reserve on one side: G.B. Engraved within bright-cut reserves on other side: G.B.W. Mark: Struck on the underside of the base: W.G. Forbes / [bird's head].
