Description
Chinese export porcelain coffee pot with cover decorated with the coat-of-arms of New York State with flower in center of shield and blue and gilded border. Pot with round, sloping straight sides with dome-shaped cover with finial and straight spout and ribbon handle with applied flowers at join of spout and pot. Part of a dinner service owned by Nathan Sanford, Chancellor of the State of New York, who entertained and served both George Washington and Governor Clinton from this service.
