Description Album compiled for the 1959 Pulitzer Prize for outstanding examples of news photography. | Photograph by John Duprey and was published August 31, 1958. | Mrs. Rose Rivera, 37, turns away from her six-month-old son, held by Patrolman John Walsh in patrol car at 200 W. 81st St. Mrs. Rivera dangled child out apartment window, over 15-foot-deep areaway, by one foot. Another tenant snatched child from her. Woman was taken in Bellevue Hospital, the baby to the New York Foundling Hospital.
