Description
Bouillon spoon with rectangular shaft, anthemion at base of the bowl back, trophy of the arts at base of bowl front , shallow circular bowl , die-struck raised lettering on back of bowl , and front of bowl features a view of the Park Theatre, 21-24 Park Row. The spoon, designed by May Robson, commemorates a six-day benefit celebration held at Madison Square Garden in May of 1892, for the Actors' Fund of America. Inscription: Die-struck raised lettering on back of bowl: ACTORS FUND FAIR May 2nd to 7th 1892. Mark: Die-struck on handle reverse: [lion passant] [anchor] [Gothic G] STERLING.
