Description Last night at this theater, Drayton’s parlor operas and lyric proverbs. Mr. and Mrs. Henri Drayton, whose operatic proverbs are creating such a popular furor, beg to announce that after this evening they will appear in their new opera house at 718-720 Broadway, commencing Tuesday, November 8. And owing to its unequivocal success, to conclude with “Diamond cut Diamond”. In which will be introduced “Too Late” written expressly for Mrs. H. Drayton by R. S. Pratten, “Simon the Cellarer” and “When a Little Farm We Keep”. Mr. Drayton announces that tickets and places may be secured in advance without extra charge at the office of the theater, from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Prices of admission – seats (numbered and secured), 50 cents. Other seats, 25 cents. Private boxes secured at the same rates. The French Dramatic Company give their performances as above every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. All business connected with the “Drayton Parlor Operas” is transacted by Geo. A. Wells. Opinions of the press from the London Times, January, 1858; New York Herald, October 13, 1859; New York Tribune, October 13, 1859; New York Daily Times, October 13, 1859; New York Courier and Enquirer, October 13, 1859; New York Express, October 14, 1859; and New York Dispatch, October 15, 1859.
