Description
Great success of Drayton’s parlor operas and lyric proverbs. Mr. and Mrs. Henri Drayton, of the Conservatoire de Musique of Paris, the operas, theatres Royal, Drury Lane and Convent Garden, London, and the principal continental theaters respectfully announce that they have engaged this theater for a series of alternate nights, for the purpose of introducing to the American public their popular and truly novel English parlor operas and lyric proverbs. To be followed by (first time in America) the operetta of “Better Late Than Never”, written by H. Drayton; the music composed by W. G. F. Beale. Mrs. Drayton will introduce the celebrated and favorite song, “Home, Sweet Home”. Mr. Drayton announces that tickets and places may be secured in advance without extra charge, at the office of the theater, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Prices of admission – seats (numbered and secured), 50 cents. Other seats, 25 cents. Private boxes secured at the same rates. Drayton’s Parlor Opera every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Mr. Drayton’s repertoire consists of numerous operas and proverbs. The name of each piece will be duly announced. The French Dramatic Company give their performances as above every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. All business connected with the “Drayton Parlor Operas” is transacted by Geo. A. Wells.
