Description Grand Beethoven night, when the whole of music of the first part of the program will be selected from the works of Beethoven, and embrace some of the principal pieces performed at the celebrated Beethoven Festival at Cologne. Intermission for promenade – 15 minutes. Part second, “The American”, expressly composed by M. Jullien since his arrival in America, and containing all the principal national melodies, viz. “Hail Columbia”, “The Star Spangled Banner”, etc. Duo for two violins by the Brothers Mollenhauer. Admission – promenade, 50 cents. Secured seats, $1.00. Jullien’s concert books, price 1 shilling, contain, in addition to the full descriptive program of each evening, the lives and portraits of M. Jullien and his eminent artistes, and the music of the American quadrille and prima donna valse. Tomorrow, Friday, solo, cornet-a-piston, Herr Koenig. Duo, violins, the Brothers Mollenhauer. Solo, contra basso, Signor Bottesini. Selections from “Les Huguenots”. On Saturday, solos by Wuille & Reichert, duo by the Brothers Mollenhauer. Grand selections from “Robert le Diable”. On Sunday, October 9, a grand sacred concert on which occasion both the first and second parts will be entirely devoted to selections of sacred music by Handel, Haydn, Beethoven, Rossini, Mendelssohn, etc.
