Pyriform teapot from tea service with eight chased panels decorated with repoussé-chased naturalistic floral motifs forming wreath around central reserve on each side, cast openwork circular scroll and flower base continuing to four loop feet, cast scroll handle with budlike furl, paneled S-spout repoussé-chased with floral motifs at base, and paneled and domed cover with applied melon finial hinged to body. Inscription: Engraved in script within reserve on body: Dwight. Mark: Struck on base: E & S / N. York / [profile head] [lion passant] [beehive.]
