Representing the Long Distance Championship of the World; in the great International Six Days Walking Contest, at Gilmore's Garden, New York, March 10th to 15th 1879, beating O'Leary, Ennis and Harriman. And covering 500 miles and 180 yards in 5 days 19 hours, 58 minutes and 5 seconds.
