Description
Sugar bowl and lid with urn-shaped bowl on circular foot on square plinth, lip, juncture of foot, and plinth outlined with applied beading, loose circular cover rising to high trumpet-shaped dome outlined by applied beading surmounted by cast urn finial with beading at shoulder. Inscription: Engraved on corners of base: ELIZABETH / TITUS / 1782 / SHONNARD 1840 / CE TAYLOR 1881/ SF TAYLOR 1890. Engraved on body within shield: JEMR. Engraved on other side of body within shield: ETS. Mark: Marked on front of plinth: J. & T.D / [bird's head.]
