Description
Sugar bowl with loose cover from tea service with raised oblong body on four cast ball-and-claw feet, narrow die-rolled gadrooned border applied at lip of piece, die-rolled border of acorns, oak leaves, and grape clusters at shoulder, domed loose cover with cast recumbent dog finial, pair c-scroll handles cast with terminals in form of lion's head and paws, supported by foliage. Inscription: Engraved in script on the base: T S & M Townsend. Mark: Struck twice on base in rectangle: I.W. FORBES.
