Description Teapot from tea service with octagonal body, bright-cut oval reserves at center of body, sloping shoulder outlined with bands of roulette work, straight seamed spout, lift-off cover edged with bright-cut border with cast urn finial at apex of trumpet-like dome, silver handle sockets and wooden C-scroll handle with furl. Part of a five-piece tea service comprising a teapot, teapot stand, sugar bowl, cream pot, and waste bowl. Inscription: Engraved within reserves on opposite sids: EV / CHV. Engraved on underside of teapot: CORNELIA HARSEN VARIAN / HER GRANDDAUGHTER / ELIZABETH VARIAN COCKCROFT / HER DAUGHTER / CORNELIA HARSEN VARIAN COCKCROFT / HER NIECE / ELIZABETH VARIAN COCKCROFT / OF THE 5TH GENERATION.
