Description To produce a cool atmosphere, the Indian punka has been fitted to all parts of this building, this being the first time this Asiatic process of ventilation has been introduced into any public building in this country. Mrs. John Wood will appear as Portia, and as Francine in the comic drama of "Grist to the Mill". Mr. Walcot as the Marquis de Richeville. Mr. H. B. Phillips, Mr. A. H. Davenport, Mr. Peters, Mrs. Vernon, Miss Manners and Miss Milton will also appear. To be followed by a burlesque extravaganza entitled "Shylock; or, The Merchant of Venice Preserved". An entirely new reading of Shakespeare, from an edition hitherto undiscovered by modern authorities, and which it is hoped may be received as the stray leaves of a Jerusalem Hearty Joke. Wednesday, benefit of Mr. Walcot. Prices of admission - boxes and parquet, 50 cents. Upper tier, 25 cents. Orchestra stalls, $1.00.
