Card case with scrolled serpentine outline, engraved scrollwork dividing both faces into quadrants with varying engine-turned ground patterns, central reserve, and hinged cover. Photograph of the case's owner, Mrs. Buckley, inside red velvet-lined case. Inscription: Engraved within reserve on side, in script: LDB / to / JFW / 1852. Mark: Marked on bezel: [lion passant] [date letter] [sovereign's head] [Birmingham assay office mark] [sponsor's mark.]
