Description One of a pair of ewers with urn-shaped body, die-rolled leaf border applied at shoulder, beading applied at lip, imbricated water leaves chased around lower third of body, die-rolled guilloche border around knop of pedestal, stepped circular pedestal base with leaves chased on step of base, and cast S-scroll handle with acanthus-leaf furls. Mark: Struck on underside in serrated rectangle: B. GARDINER.
