Description
Sugar bowl with raised inverted pyriform body on circular stepped pedestal base and applied beading at base, lip, shoulder of cover and base of cover plinth. Stepped cover rises on trumpet-shaped dome to cast urn finial, and body engraved with scalloped garland of leaves and flowers from which is suspended bright-cut oval medallion. Inscription: Engraved on body, within medallion: RDF. Mark: Marked on base: GILBERT. Weight scratched on underside of base: 10=15 dwt.
