Description
Tankard with straight sides tapering toward lip, applied molded baseband and applied molding at everted lip, S-scroll handle with pointed tip, double-stepped flat cover with cast scroll thumbpiece and crenate flange attached with five-part hinge with molded drop and engraved circular raffle around monogram on upper surface of cover (body cut away beneath spout added opposite handle). Inscription: Engraved within circular raffle on upper surface of cover: "EL" in interlaced foliate script and scratch weight "37 oz 5 dwt" engraved on underside of base. Mark: Struck on underside of base: "E-B" in rectangle, "E-BRASHER" in rectangle, "N-YORK" in rectangle.
