Description Seamed twelve-sided cup with tulip-shape body, everted lip outlined by applied molding on turned stem continuing to twelve-sided stepped foot, body engraved with bright-cut drapery swags and tassels over scrolls, and diapering and S-scroll handle with furl. Inscription: Engraved within shield-shaped reserve opposite handle: "Presented/By Mrs. L. Brooks/to/Mary Lavinia Brooks/1845". Mark: Struck on underside of base: "G. BOYCE" in Roman caps in rectangle and: "N.Y" in rectangle.
