Description Sugar bowl from tea service with raised round body divided by lobed melon reeding, die-rolled acanthus-and-leaf borders applied at edge of base, cover shoulder, and base-body juncture, on stepped circular base. Cast S-scroll handles with foliate furls, domed cover with repoussé-chased leaves on matte ground and cast pomegranate finial soldered in place. Inscription: Engraved on body: WLB / [crest.] Mark: Marked on base: B [pellet] GARDINER. Overstruck by: BALL, TOMPKINS & BLACK.
