Description Basket with deeply dished circular body on domed circular pedestal base engraved with leafage. Broad brim engraved with Rococo scrolls and raffles, creating reserves with baskets of flowers at handle joints, vignettes of seascape and castled landscape, applied molding on upper edge and pivoting bail handle. Inscription: Engraved at top of handle: HTTY. Mark: Marked on base: GELSTON, LADD & Co. / NEW-YORK.
