Spun goblet with tulip-shape body, everted lip on stepped circular foot, and lip and foot edged with die-rolled borders. Inscription: Engraved on body: "Awarded by the/American Institute/at the 15th Annual Fair 1842/To EFFINGHAM LAWRENCE/for the best Heifer Calf/Sally". Mark: Struck on underside of body: "W. ADAMS" and "NEW-YORK" in serrated rectangles.
