Description
Cann with tuilp-shape raised body, everted lip on stepped circular footring, applied reeded molding at lip, and double-scroll cast handle with acanthus-leaf furl (foot interior skimmed). Inscription: Engraved on body opposite handle with Bayard crest [a demi-horse Argent]. Mark: Struck on underside of base: "GILBERT" in rectangle and: "New-York" in rectangle.
