Description
Silver tankard with slightly tapered cylindrical body, applied molded baseband, double-scroll handle with baluster drop below five-knuckle hinge, heart-shaped handle terminal (tip bent), stepped flat-top cover with cast scrolled thumbpiece, and crenate projecting flange opposite handle. Inscription: Engraved with [armorial within bright-cut shield flanked by crossed floral fronds tied below tip of the shield], opposite handle; Engraved on handle terminal "T-ASH"; faint "GA" scratched on the underside of the body; "TA" engraved on the handle below drop.; Scratch weight on base. Mark: Marks: "T [pellet] H" in rectangle struck on the body at either side of the handle.
