Description Chatelaine in two hinged parts die-struck in floral scroll design with pierced belt hook and eleven eyelets for chains. The ten chains are attached terminating in swivel hooks. Attachments, left to right: flask (no stopper) made from a Columbian half dollar dated 1893, rectangular memo book with 6 ivory leaves marked successively "MONDAY" through "SATURDAY" and cover with applied butterfly and leafy branch on spot-hammered ground, reverse with mum; circular glazing enclosing a four-leaf clover with beaded bezel; mechanical pencil in case with spiral-threaded exterior; Vesta on match case with embossed foliate scroll motifs; heart-shaped memo book with five leaves; cylindrical needlecase with screw-off cap, embossed with foliate scrolls; oval mirror with silver frame in compact with embossed cherub on cover. Inscription: Engraved on card case: GHB. Engraved on reserve of needlecase: AFH. Engraved on memo book reverse: TBY. Mark: Marked on belt hook reverse: [lion passant] [anchor] [Gothic letter G] / STERLING / 165 / [date device for 1893-1910.] Marked on needlecase: STERLING / [device for La Pierre Mfg. Co.
