Description Goblet, part of pitcher and goblet set, with tulip-shape bowl, supported by cast female figure (possibly Athena) in classical drapery with torch and olive branch in one hand and an owl at her feet, and continuing to circular stepped base with engine-turned banding (base bolted to stem). Inscription: Engraved on one side with cipher: "EBW"; On other side in Old English lettering: "A Memorial Gift/from/ Mary A. Williamson/(Died Apr. 29, 1864.)/To her Grandson/Edwin B. Williamson". Mark: On underside of foot: Gorham trademarks [lion passant] [anchor] [Gothic letter "G"] in reserves/"S & M".
