Description
Teapot with seamed oval body, curved shoulder, beading inserted at shoulder, base and around handle sockets, straight spout with pierced strainer on interior of body, hinged cover with cast urn finial secured on interior with bolt and shaped nut, body engraved with bright-cut swags, leaves, and drapery creating oval reserves, and silver handle with furl and ivory insulators. Inscription: Engraved within one reserve in script: S. Mark: Struck on underside of the base: [eagle] D.V. VOORHIS [eagle].
