Description Tray or salver that is circular in plan with scalloped outline, on four cast paw-and-shell feet, cast and applied scroll-and-shell border, and engraved inner border centering an unidentified coat-or-arms hung from bowknot swag above crossed boughs. Inscription: Engraved on reverse: James Abercrombie Burden/from fellow members/of the/Knickerbocker Club/In recognition of his services as a member of the Building Committee,/having charge of the plans and construction of the new Club House/on Fifth Avenue at the corner of Sixtysecond Street opened June 21st 1915/Committee/William Butler Ducan, Chairman/James Abercrombie Burden/Ernest Iselin/Ex Officio/Egerton Leigh Winthrop, President/Frank Knight Sturgis, Vice President [above views of the two Knickerbocker Club buildings], 319 5th Avenue/1882-1915/2 East 62nd Street/1915/Knickerbocker Club Organized 1870/First Club House/249 Fifth Avenue Corner of 28th Street/Opened 1872.
