Verso: central medallion floating on dark green ground, vignette depicts landscape with Classical pavillion at edge of stream, free-form gilt foliate and vine border (verso not shown in photograph.) Gilded and painted decoration on guards and at base of blades; brown silk connecting ribbon, painted gilt sunburst motifs.
