Description Sugar basket with elongated octagonal body, applied beading at lip and rim of spreading octagonal pedestal base, cast diamond chain pivoting bail handle, and body with bright-cut floral border and side of body engraved with shield within wreath suspended by bow knot. Inscription: Engraved on one side of body, within shield: FMS. Engraved on opposite side of body, within shield: HFR. Mark: Marked on edge of pedestal: DV / [eagle in diamond] / DV.
