Description One of a pair of ewers with amphora-form body decorated with applied band of die-rolled border at shoulder, applied reeded molding at lip, double-domed cover with concealed hinge, bands of repoussé-chased floral ornament on steps of cover, applied band of die-rolled ornament around second dome, hollow C-scroll silver handle with cast leafy furl, cast floral ornament at handle terminal, bands of die-rolled ornament at joint, on three cast lion-paw feet with long leafy knees. Inscription: Engraved on body: Presented to / James C. Roosevelt Esqr. / as a tribute of Gratitude & Respect / by the Heirs of / Mrs. Cornelia Kisam / Decr. 25, 1823.
