Painted on recto: king on throne in purple robes gesturing towards a prostrate veiled woman with small child, but looking to his left at a man carrying a gold scepter and pointing to himself; set in twilight riparian landscape with body of water and galleon behind; leaf trimmed with gilded paper at top and bottom. Verso painted with three simplified bouquets of polychrome flowers and serpentine garland border. Monture of pierced ivory, the guards carved with flowers and scrolls; paste stone at rivet and gilt metal stamped loop.
